The purpose of the Central 5k Memorial Scholarship is to honor the memory of local residents of Central School District and to assist graduating students in their pursuit of their chosen career field. The 2012 Central 5K Memorial Scholarships will be dedicated to the memory of Tim Gulczynski. The 2011 Central 5K Memorial Scholarships were dedicated to the memory of Garrett Wilking. The 2009 Central 5K Memorial Scholarships were dedicated to the memory of Dawn Schafer. See the winners here. The 2008 Central 5K Memorial Scholarships were dedicated to the memory of Katelyn Graham. The scholarship selection is based on grade point average, ACT score, School/Community involvement, Central 5K race participation and short answer questions. A Scholarship Certificate is awarded at the Central Awards Night. The 2011 Scholarships will be dedicated to the memory of Garrett Wilking.
